  1.  swinging in its solitary hut. 
  2.   
  3.  And now one by one the robber beasts arrive. 
  4.  They sit about the table, deal the cards  
  5.  and play DeathΓÇÖs game.  
  6.          The solitary light swings.  
  7.  Each round the robbers wound the light. 
  8.  Tearless, brooding, remembering,  
  9.  they play. The Moon  
  10.  is closeted. Ho!  
  11.  the boisterous cook exclaims  
  12.  frightening the robbers  
  13.          ΓÇöIΓÇÖve cooked up a fat face here  
  14.          for midnight supper.
